Well, it seems you have ideas here. For women, friends are one of the most valuable possessions they can have in the world (next to credit card perhaps). This would be a good topic to begin with. Unless she is a super-sized lady, she would not get offended if you share what type of food you both like to eat. Not only it would give you a good idea of what food does she likes, you will also provide a good and continuous conversation that can go as far as drinks or anything under the sun.
